Relax & Leave Everything to Our Team During Your Dental Emergency

It doesn’t matter what type of dental emergency you have, Dr. Zia has seen it over her many years of practice experience. Especially when she was working in a hospital setting, she saw many serious dental injuries that needed intense treatment. Dr. Zia is also a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Virginia Dental Society.

Below are some of the treatments we may use for your dental emergency, depending on your case:

  • Tooth-Colored Filling – We use natural-looking composite resin fillings that blend in with the rest of your smile. With these metal-free fillings, you won’t worry about others seeing them when you talk, eat, or laugh.
  • Root Canal Treatment – With this beneficial treatment, we can save your diseased tooth in most cases. Dr. Zia will clean out the infected inner portion and fill the root canals with a rubber-like material. Your pain will be gone and you’ll still have your tooth in place.
  • Dental Crown – If your tooth is damaged or cracked, we may be able to strengthen it and prevent further damage with a new crown. We’ll take digital impressions and have a professional crown made that will fit over the top of the tooth.
  • Oral Surgery – If we’re unable to save your tooth with a filling, root canal, or crown, we can safely and gently remove it to stop your pain. The extraction will also help prevent other problems with your healthy teeth and gums.
  • TMJ Treatment – To relieve TMJ pain, we can use one of two methods or even both of them. We can have a custom TMJ appliance made that will move your lower jaw forward to relieve tension on your jaw joints, or we can use Botox® to limit the movement of your jaw muscles and reduce your pain.
  • Migraine and Headache Solutions – Many headaches are caused by teeth grinding (also known as bruxism). We can have a custom mouthguard made to keep your teeth apart and prevent grinding.
